ABOUT OUR MISSION

The Full Story

Do you feel passionately about topic related to mental health awareness? If so, we would love for you to get involved with AMSA's Student Wellness Initiative. Our mission statement is as follows: to create a platform to connect AMSA members with access to various Mental Health Resources, while inspiring students to stay motivated and supported through these difficult times caused by the Covid Era.

AMSA Student Wellness will be a year-round developing project, with a new and unique topic being featured each month. Our hope is that you enjoy browsing the site each month and utilize the resources we have to offer. Take a look around; especially as future physicians and health providers, it is so important to learn about the factors that influence one's mental health. Read on and enjoy!

LILY RAJAEE

AMSA Wellness Ambassador

Lily is a 4th Year Human Biology Major at UCSD. She has been an AMSA member since her Freshman year. The reason why she applied to be an intern for AMSA is because she wanted to create a platform as part of AMSA which focused on providing Mental Health resources for members. Her goal is to one day be a physician, and like many other AMSA members, shares a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles!

SUN LU

AMSA Wellness Ambassador

Sun is a 4th Year Cognitive Science Major with a Specialization in Neuroscience, and Minors in Biology and Psychology. He has been an AMSA member since his first Fall quarter. The reason why he applied to be an intern for AMSA was because he wants to tackle the fundamental issue of student wellness and an underserved population by restoring agency back to the community. His goal is to pick up the skills and resources it takes to become a physician, while also exploring his creative side with those around him.

Syni is a 1st year Human Biology Major at UCSD. She joined AMSA in fall quarter, and so far, she loves it! She applied to be an intern for AMSA because she's passionate about ensuring a healthy work-life balance for students. Her goal is to be a physician, and she wants to prioritize mental health for others on the same journey!
